Youth Bereavement & Grief Awareness Campaign <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Got Your Back\u2026Going Forward is the Glimmer Academy education and fundraising campaign inspiring teenagers to stand together through grief.<\/p>\n

Every day, young people in our schools and communities face the heartbreak of losing someone they love. In these moments, its often friends, classmates and school staff who walk alongside them day by day, through sadness, silence, and uncertainty.<\/p>\n

Got Your B.A.C.K. – Going Forward empowers young people to support their bereaved peers, showing up in small but meaningful ways that say: \u201cYou\u2019re not alone. I\u2019ve got your back. Step by step. Side by side.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At the heart of this talk is B.A.C.K. a simple, powerful framework to help students remember what it means to stand beside a grieving friend:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Why this matters<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Grief can feel isolating, especially in schools, clubs and churches, where life keeps moving forward even when your world has changed. Friends might not always know what to say or do.<\/p>\n

This educational and social action campaign helps young people build confidence, empathy, and courage to stand shoulder to shoulder with their bereaved peers, when it matters most.<\/p>\n

By taking part, students will:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2705\" Learn how to be a supportive friend<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2705\" Build a school culture of kindness and inclusion<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2705\" Take positive action in solidarity with grieving classmates<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u2705\" Raise vital funds to help bereaved young people access support across Northern Ireland<\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign talk is thoughtfully designed to protect bereaved students while empowering their peers. By equipping classmates rather than focusing on the grieving student, we create a safe, inclusive environment where no young person feels alone or left behind in the fast pace of school life.<\/p>\n

Our charity\u2019s work is evidence-based, developed and delivered by a highly qualified team, and co-created with young people who have been personally impacted by bereavement, grief, and loss.<\/p>\n<\/div>
