Our Community partners

FME Community Partners are skilled group leaders or one to one practitioners who want to ripple hope, wellbeing and positive change for the benefit of local people. FME community partners do this by facilitating workshops, programmes, groups, coaching, counselling and more.

FME are on a mission to build a well community in Greater Antrim. As a small local charity we can’t do this alone and we work with Community Partners to achieve this vision. FME bring the space to this partnership, Community Partners bring the Heart – together WE ARE HEARTSPACE.

Tracy, a dedicated community partner, highlights her collaboration with Fresh Minds Education (FME) in her journey. Initially, she aimed to help mothers with mental health issues bond with their babies through baby massage, but high room hire fees and working alone posed challenges. Partnering with FME transformed these challenges into opportunities, making services accessible and expanding to include heart space, now supporting over 70 mothers in the Greater Antrim area.

FME recognised the importance of supporting mum’s during the early years and applied for funding which was used to establish the Stronger from the Start Group. The Stronger from the Start Group evolved from baby massage into a comprehensive mental health early years programme for mums and babies. This programme nutures attachment, connection and positive mental health.

Tracy’s work brings her immense joy and fulfilment. She passionately advocates for FME ephasising the mutal support and imapct we can create together.

“My name is Valerie, and I am a Community Partner with Fresh Minds Education (FME). I have been collaborating with FME for the past year as a community partner. During this time, I have been able to provide various workshops and programmes for the community.

I have facilitated a cancer support group and my signature EMBRACE Personal Development Programme. I am currently delivering Women’s Healing Circles and offering one-to-one coaching support for young people in emotional distress in the HeartSpace.

I am delighted to be a Community Partner with FME. The Heartspace is an ideal space for the type of work I offer. The location of the Heartspace is perfect, as it is quiet, secluded, a positive, uplifting and cozy atmosphere. Working in the Heartspace has enabled me to enruse that the work I bring to the world is accessible to those most in need.  I look forward to continuing as a FME Community Partner and would encourage others to get involved.”

“As a young women living in the Antrim area, I felt that since finishing university that there wasn’t something suitable for young women to get involved in.

With Fresh Minds Education (FME), I have been given an opportunity to create a fun, safe and social group for young women to join – whilst contributing to the Glimmer Box Project through various types of crafting!

Having access to the Heartspace is perfect and ideal for any events we have been running! I would highly encourage anyone with an idea to become a Community Partner with FME as it allows you to get your idea off the ground with support!”

“Hi! I’m Katrina Hodgkinson, a yoga teacher and proud Fresh Minds Education (FME) Community Partner. Yoga has been my anchor through tough times, supporting my mental well-being, and now I’m passionate about sharing that strength with others. After attending a baby massage event hosted by FME, after attending a Baby Massage class I connected with our facilitator Tracy and discovered our shared vision of creating safe, supportive spaces for women. This led to our women’s circles – seasonal wellness events blending yoga, meditation, and community connection.
I’m thrilled that our idea was embraced, and these circles are now thriving! Partnering with FME has been a game-changer, providing a strong foundation and a like-minded community. I’m excited to keep growing this space, supporting women, and making a real difference.”

“By being a community partner I have been able to make connections throughout the community coming from all walks of life. We are breaking the barriers and having difficult conversations whilst supporting eachother doing something fun!”
